Illustrator and designer Pascal Campion renders to collect moments from his life, making his an especially delightful Tumblr to follow. I found this illustration in June with the accompanying dialog:
Lily, go to bed honey.
Just one more drawing mommy!
…Sigh…just like her daddy.
I immediately thought of Natalya and the attempts to declare lights-out! at bedtime.
When she was small, it was the deep philosophical questions. These days Natalya has expressed her frustration of finding bedtime in conflict with an hour when she is energized to write.
My best work comes when I am drifting into the dreaming and the waking—and in the shower. Man, I wish my memory were better.
What hour of the day/night does your creative clock strike hardest?
and what do you do when it competes with something like sleeping or family time, etc.?
